Google Tools

The Google Tools settings allow you to connect your site to Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

These integrations help you track visitor activity and measure the effectiveness of your marketing efforts.

Once configured, your site will automatically send page view data and conversion events to Google so you can analyze how patients are finding and interacting with your site.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps you understand how visitors interact with your site. It can track information such as:

  • How many people visit your site

  • Which pages they view

  • Where they came from (search, ads, social media, etc.)

  • Whether they complete key actions like submitting a form

To enable Google Analytics, enter your Measurement ID in the field provided.

Measurement IDs typically look like:

G-XXXXXXXXXX

How to Find Your Google Analytics Measurement ID
  1. Sign in to Google Analytics

  2. Click Admin (gear icon in the lower-left corner)

  3. Under the Property column, click Data Streams

  4. Select your Web data stream

  5. Your Measurement ID will appear at the top right of the stream details page

Copy this ID and paste it into the Measurement ID field in Second Door.

Once added, page views and key conversion events from your site will automatically be sent to your Google Analytics property.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager allows you to manage marketing and analytics scripts without modifying your website code. This is commonly used to deploy tools like advertising pixels, conversion tracking, or additional analytics platforms.

To enable Google Tag Manager, enter your Container ID.

Container IDs typically look like:

GTM-XXXXXXX

How to Find Your Google Tag Manager Container ID
  1. Sign in to Google Tag Manager

  2. Select your container

  3. The Container ID will appear in the top-right corner of the workspace

  4. It will also appear in the installation instructions screen

Copy this ID and paste it into the Container ID field in Second Door.

Once configured, your Google Tag Manager container will load on your site, allowing you to manage tags and tracking through your Tag Manager workspace.
