How do I unsubscribe a patient from communications?

How to Update a Patient’s Messaging Preferences

  1. Use the search bar in the top right corner to locate the patient.

  2. Click the patient’s name to open their profile.

  3. Click Edit in the top right corner.

  4. Scroll down to the relevant section under Patient Details.

From here, you have two options:

If the Patient Is Deceased
  • Toggle on the Patient Deceased setting.

Marking a patient as deceased will automatically remove them from all future communications.

If You Need to Limit Specific Messaging Types

Scroll to the Unsubscribe Settings section and adjust the appropriate opt out toggles.

  • You can disable Email, Text (SMS), Phone Calls, or Mail. 

Save your changes when finished.

Important Notes

  • Changes take effect immediately.

  • Updating messaging preferences will prevent future automated and manual outreach through the selected channels.

  • Patients can still opt back in if appropriate.
