Notifications

Second Door keeps you informed about the work that matters to you: new leads, NPS responses, comments, and more. This article covers where notifications appear and how to customize which ones you receive.

The Notification Center

Click the bell icon in the top bar to open your Notification Center. Every notification you're subscribed to appears here, newest first, and the red badge shows your unread count. New notifications arrive in real time.

Choosing which notifications you get

Go to Settings → Notifications to control your subscriptions.

Your changes apply only to you. Adjusting your settings never affects your teammates.

Notifications are grouped by category, each with ready-made options you can toggle on or off:

Lead Notifications

  • All New Leads: receive a notification when a lead is created in your organization

  • All New Leads Assigned to Me: receive a notification when a lead is assigned to you
  • All Status Changes Assigned to Me: receive a notification when any lead assigned to you changes status

Comment Notifications

  • Mentioned in a Comment: You will receive a notification when you are mentioned in a comment
  • Replied to a Comment: You will receive a notification when someone replies to your comment
  • Comment Resolved: when someone resolves your comment

NPS Notifications

  • All New Responses: You will receive a notification when any new response is submitted
  • All New Promoter Responses: You will receive a notification when a new promoter response is submitted
  • All New Passive Responses: You will receive a notification when a new passive response is submitted
  • All New Detractor Responses: You will receive a notification when a new detractor response is submitted

How notifications reach you

Every notification you've enabled will always appear in the Notification Center.

Email and browser push are additional ways to be notified on top of that:

  • Email delivers the notification to your inbox. When you switch a notification on, Email is pre-selected. If you only want to see notifications in the Notification Center, uncheck email.
  • Push shows a browser notification even when you're in another tab. The first time you enable push, your browser may ask for permission — choose Allow. (If pushes stop appearing, check that notifications are allowed for Second Door in your browser's site settings.)

Custom notification rules

If the ready-made options don't cover what you need, build your own rule. Each category has an + Add Custom Notification Rule button.

A custom rule has four parts:

  1. Name: call it something you'll recognize later.
  2. Event: the type of activity that triggers it.
  3. Filters: narrow the rule so it only notifies you for what you care about.
  4. Delivery: choose whether it also goes to Email or Push (it always appears in your Notification Center).

You can switch a custom rule off without deleting it using its toggle, or remove it with the trash icon.
